何谓恒生指数资助?

Title III and Title V are five year HSI grants that provide colleges and universities with high numbers of Latina/o/x and Chicana/o/x students and limited resources with funding intended to build their capacity to expand opportunities and increase success for Latina/o/x and Chicana/o/x students. 

PCC的HSI资助

PCC’s first Title V HSI grant was awarded in 2000.

Title V Individual Awards

  1. 2000-2005: “Creating Learning Communities to Increase Hispanic 学生的成功 and Persistence”
    • Strategies: Teaching and Learning Center, Learning Communities, XL Summer Bridge/First Year Experience (FYE), Conexion tutoring

  2. 2010-2015: “XL for Life – Transforming Developmental Education at PCC”
    • Strategies: Pathways FYE, College 1, Success Coaching, LancerPoint 

  3. 2015-2020: “Making the Second Year a 支持ed, Engaging, and Accessible Pathway to Completion”
    • Strategy: Second Year Pathway

  4. 2020-2025: "Pathways to Completion II"
    • Develop a multi-faceted approach to career exploration that introduces early and reinforces often, offers robust internship opportunities contextualized for each career community, and provides career content that is embedded into curriculum
    • Build and foster a multi-modal Network of Care—a student support model rooted in the fundamental belief that student support and advising is a shared responsibility and that support needs to be provided at both the micro and macro levels in order to truly impact the student experience
    • Increase student outcomes and close equity gaps to ensure alignment with state-mandated performance-based funding focused on student equity and student success

  5. 2023-2028: “UPREACH: Unifying PCC’s 资源 to Empower  & Accelerate Completion for Hispanic/Latine 学生”
    • Actualizing a Unified Approach to Personalized Care: Unify, 支持, Retain
    •  Foster 社区 and Connection through a Cariño Mindset  社区, Connection, 文化

  1. 2004-2009: “Improving Student Persistence and Degree Completion” (Partner – Mount St. 玛丽的)

  2. 2012-2017: “Building a 设计 Technology Pathway to Increase Student Access and Completion” (Partner - California State Polytechnic University, 波莫纳) 
    • Strategy: 设计 Tech Pathway

Title III (HSI STEM) Cooperative Awards

  1. 2010-2015:  “Developing an Accessible Intersegmental STEM Pathway in Environmental Sciences for Underserved Hispanic 学生” (Partner - California State Polytechnic University, 波莫纳)
    • Strategy:  Environmental Science Pathway

Abriendo卡米诺 & Pathways to Completion II

  • In October 2019, PCC was awarded the HSI Title V grant: “Abriendo卡米诺: Opening Pathways to Institutionalize Equity.”
  • In October 2020, PCC was awarded the HSI Title V grant: “Putting Career First and Expanding the Network of Care in PCC’s Pathway to Completion for Hispanic Students.”
